"Two-Fifty"

With only 38 ever built, the Ferrari 250 GTO is one of the rarest, most sought after, most valuable automobiles of all time. When I first saw this particular 250, it was parked at a parking meter, on a side street near Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. At the time, the car was valued at around 3 million dollars, far more than most of us would be comfortable leaving on the street unattended, even if we had the option. In recent years, a 250 GTO sold for over 60 million dollars at auction and the prices keep climbing.
